My chosen career choice is a management consultant who provides professional advice to the clients to improve business performance or to solve the business problems of the organisations.

Introduction
1.1 Reason for choice of topic
My chosen career choice is a management consultant who provides professional advice to the clients to improve business performance or to solve the business problems of the organisations. Although the nature of the organizations or the situation of the cases varies, Corporate Social Responsibility is required to apply in every sector. Moreover, I believe this is an important factor that indirectly affecting the business performance of firms.
It is a known fact that it is a must to practice world trade and collaboration in today's world. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become one of my concerns https://www.51lunwen.org/businessenvironment/ as some corporations take this opportunity as a way to exploit other countries while some are sidetracked by CSR that deviate from the business mission and strategy.
Moreover, the rise of education level and the development of media cause the growing public concern on CSR. This is particularly true for the large corporations which always are the target of criticisms.
Furthermore, as Vogel (2005) pointed out, there are a pile of contemporary writing on CSR showing the relationship between CSR and profitability. Therefore, this topic is chosen for giving them a full picture of practising CSR for the corporations of today. This allows them to decide their future business strategy: to be or not to be socially responsible.
1.2 Academic objectives of Project
The objectives are as follows:
a) To identify the advantages and drawbacks of practicing Corporate Social Responsibility
b) To discuss the most appropriate way for corporations of today to take

1.3 Outline of sections
To begin with, the background of CSR and the situation of corporations of today face will be described. Also, the background of SoftBank Corp. which is the case later discussed will be shown. After setting the scene, the definitions of CSR will be listed out and explained. Then, the advantages and disadvantages of practising CSR will be discussed. Lastly, the case study of SoftBank Corp will be shown.
