1.1 Background of the Project

The Foreign Affairs& Overseas Chinese AffairsOffice of Liuzhou asked the author to translate the first and the second chapter, inorder to help other factories communicate with foreign manufacturers, which couldincrease cooperation between Liuzhou local industries and foreign factories withadvanced techniques. Having been comprehensively read, the text has its own speciallanguage features and is worthy of translating, because there is no Chineseinformation, or even English information, about this design report on Internet.Besides, having searched on the website, the author found that there are fewtranslations about navigation area. The translation research in aerospace navigationfield is almost blank (Wu, 2015). Thus, this translation could have more significancein both translation area and technology area.

1.2 Significance of the Project

First of all, this translation will provide a communication chance in inertialnavigation field. Launching several manned spacecrafts in recent years, the aerospacenavigation of China has been developing swiftly (Chen, 2013). With the fastdevelopment, China would make no further breakthroughs, if there are not anycommunications, in its aerospace navigation, with foreign countries. Found at Liuzhou2016 Auto Expo, A Design Report on a Calibration Assembly for Inertial NavigationSystem, the design report for an innovative device, is the latest production forcalibrating the inertial navigation system. By translating this design report, morepossibilities in technical and commercial area will be increased to make anotherprogresses in aerospace navigation field.
