2.1.1 Reading

To the definition of reading,Reading,as an important way of obtaininginformation, has been attracting wide attention all along.Reading provides peoplewith more ways to understand the world, which can enhance people's minds andbroaden people's horizons. In recent years, reading has been extensively studied byeducators and researchers. The definition of reading is influenced by multiple factors.

Kennel Goodman(1967)defined reading as a process of psycholinguisticguessing game, and effective reading does not depend on the accurate recognition ofeach word, but rather on whether the reader is able to make correct judgments basedon the input information. He denied the idea that reading was only a process ofidentifying words or phrases.

In the 1970s,the theory of reading research was deeply explored from theperspective of psycholinguistics.Smith(1971)believed that information sources arecomposed of vision, auditory, sentence structure and sentence meaning. He also seesreading as a communicative process, transforming information from speaker tolistener.Psycholinguistics believes that readers can make full use of sensory andbackground information to foresee the development of the plot and test theirassumptions after reading.Reading teaching is also developed from the perspective ofthe second language teaching theory.Rummelhart(1977)defined reading as a processconsisting of readers, paragraphs and the interaction between readers and texts. It is acomplex, interactive approach that consists of lexical, syntactic, semantic, andcontextual knowledge.

2.2Theoretical Basis

2.2.1 The Input Hypothesis

Krashen(1980s)believed that the acquisition of human language is not withoutconditions.First,They need an intelligible language input. In the process of humanlanguage acquisition, the input of understandable language is the first priority.Through an extensive and large number of contact with language materials, peoplehave a certain understanding of the language materials gradually, which is prepared forthe future language output. The language materials that learners get in should be as faras real and close to life.In addition, the difficulty of the input is slightly higher thanthe learner self, but not too high, that is,the'i+1'principle.The learner's currentknowledge level is i,and i+1 refers to the degree that the learner can achieve bytouching and learning the language.By combining the input of understandablelanguage with communication, learners can acquire the language in the naturalenvironment.

In the E stage in ESA teaching mode,Hamer advocated that students should firststimulate their interest in learning and learning motivation before learning, andemphasize the importance of real context.Only when students are interested in whatthey learn can they accept and learn better, which is similar to the understandableinput in the input hypothesis. In the process of reading teaching, teachers selectively organize the activities that conform to the current level of students and are interestedin them according to the learning content, and the choice of reading materials reflectsthe authenticity. In addition,the'i+1'principle of the input hypothesis attaches greatimportance to the gap between students'e论文英语论文网提供整理,提供论文代写英语论文代写代写论文代写英语论文代写留学生论文代写英文论文留学生论文代写相关核心关键词搜索。
