Firstly,we have an understanding of the characteristics of students’multipleintelligences have an understanding of the characteristics of students’multipleintelligences and find that the average score of students’multiple intelligences rangesfrom 17 points to 22 points.The average value of the eight intelligences of students isrelatively high,but there are still differences.The average bodily-kinestheticintelligence occupies the lowest points among all intelligences;the points of linguisticintelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence are also low.The top fourintelligences are interpersonal intelligence,naturalist intelligence,musical intelligenceand intrapersonal intelligence.Based on the analysis of students’multipleintelligences,we provide examples on the application of MIT in junior middle schoolEnglish reading teaching.MIT is used to guide the design of a variety of readingteaching activities,which meets the needs of students with different readingpreferences.Facts have proved that students are very enthusiastic about these teachingactivities.They can participate in the class and achieve the expected teaching effect.

Secondly,the junior middle school English reading teaching guided by MIT canstimulate students’reading interest,change reading attitude and optimize readingstrategies through rich content and diverse classroom activities,and promote thedevelopment of students’self-evaluation.According to the data and analysis of theQuestionnaire on the Basic English Reading for Junior Middle School Students andthe results of personal interview,the reading classroom activities based on MIT canmeet the learning needs of EC.Students can learn in a relaxed and happy classroomatmosphere.Their enthusiasm for active participation in the classroom is enhanced a lot,and their interest in English reading is aroused.At the same time,self-evaluationhelps students recognize their own strengths and weaknesses and helps them adjusttheir learning methods.
