4.1 Results and Discussion of the Interview

Due to the inherent attribute of the cultivation of ICC,it is also necessary todeeply understand the reality of cultural teaching in terms of teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching methods and teaching evaluation from teachers’point ofview,and understand the difficulty of the cultivation of cultural awareness.Eachteacher has his own teaching experience.Through interviews,we can deeplyunderstand the teachers'ideas and deep factors,so as to obtain fuller and moreconvincing survey results.

4.1.1 Information Collection of the Interview

Six English teachers working in a public school in the capital city of a provincein the central region were invited to interview.In order to ensure the authenticity ofthe interview and avoid interference from third parties,the interview place is a bright,quiet place with only researcher and respondents.The researcher clarified the purposeof the interview and the principle of protecting the privacy of the respondents,andrecorded the interview with the consent of the respondents.The interview time shallnot be less than 40 minutes.The interview questions include the understanding of thelatest English teaching objectives of compulsory education,the current situation,difficulties and suggestions of cultivating ICC in English teaching.

CHAPTER FIVE CONCLUSION

5.1 Major Findings

First of all,this study analyzes the necessity of improving ICC from theobjectives and requirements of foreign language teaching,the requirements of corecompetence training in the stage of domestic compulsory education and the currentsituation of ICC.After that,questionnaire survey and interview are conducted toanalyze the current situation of junior middle school students’ICC.The authorillustrates the influencing factors of cultivating ICC,and put forward the strategies toexplore the cultivation of ICC in junior middle school English teaching based on thetheories of cross-cultural teaching and second language acquisition.Finally,thefeasible strategies are carried out in teaching experiments,and the experimentalresults are recorded,reflected and analyzed.
