c. Firewall and anti-virus software shall be installed on individual computer and network in order to preventing the privacy right being infringed.

With the popularization of internet, many companies set up their own websites. Consumers can visit these websites and obtain the information, products or services they want by registering in these websites. When registering, they always are required to sign up the service terms and conditions and provide their personal information. If not, perhaps they will be not permitted to log in and visit these websites. However, it is unfortunate that the personable information provided by the consumers is not be used properly by the relevant companies. At the same time, some people utilize the person’s privacy collected from the internet for the purpose of business operation or to just hostilely spread it in internet and even humiliate or slander other persons. Hence, it is necessary for the government to formulate the relevant regulations and take the appropriate measures to prevent the persons’ privacy right from being infringed. If the Information Economy is to continue to expand and flow easily across borders, we will clearly need to forge a global consensus on some basic rules for how to protect consumer privacy in cyberspace.
