Take the grammar part of unit one in the New Senior English for China Student’s Book 2 for example. The restrictive and non-restrictive attributives clauses are the main grammar item of unit one in Book 2. We all know the importance of teaching plan in English teaching, especially for the new teachers. However, some mistakes still exist in the writing of teaching plan. For example, the goal of teaching is overbroad, the teaching aims and teaching objectives are confused, and the error of language [12]. Consequently, teachers need to learn how to write a qualified teaching plan before having a lesson. Due to the success in junior senior high school English teaching in Canada and Guangxi, most scholars argue that B-SLIM is a good teaching method for senior high school English. Therefore, the combination of B-SLIM and the basic elements of teaching plan are the great way for writing a teaching plan of senior high school English.
3.1 Planning and Preparation
3.1.1 Teaching Materials
It is in New Senior English for China Student’s Book2 that unit one Cultural relics is mainly about the Cultural relic’s protection and the famous cultural relics in China and abroad. There are many topics involved to cultural relics. The main reading material is about the search of the amber room that involved most the language knowledge and the language skills in this unit [10].
3.1.2 The Analysis of Teaching Materials
There are six parts of unit one. They are Topics, Functional, Structures, Reading, Writing and Workbook. The grammar part of unit one is the restrictive and non-restrictive attributive clauses, which is in the whole unit that teacher needs to emphasize it in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Cultural relics protection and famous cultural relics in China and abroad are the topics of unit one. The introduction of cultural relics, and then the amber room are used to tell the students that there are many cultural relics are missing, so students need to show their idea about what should be done for the cultural relics. When expressing ideas, students are required to use the restrictive and non-restrictive clauses as much as possible. Therefore, through the learning of unit one, students can express their ideas by using some complex sentences. Moreover, they can distinguish the difference between restrictive and non- restrictive attributive clause [10].
