On contrast of education philosophy of Confucius and Plato

Confucius was a great ancient Chinese thinker and educator. In his masterpiece “Anthology”, he expressed his education philosophy in details which has imposed influences on China for thousands of years. The education was also from the situation that only slaver owner had rights of being educated changing to the one the public can receive education. As a result, Confucian can learn from his teachers and teach his own students. He began his education from his tutor at the age of 15 and learnt a lot of poems and masterpieces of his time. About 30, he opened his own school in Qufu and began his teaching career. At his 50, Confucius took his students to travel many countries and propagated his political ideas but end up being failed. At his 68, he went back his mother country, Lu, and became the first one founding private school in large scale. The historic background and long time period of teaching experiences helped his unique education philosophy.
Athens Plato was living was most developed in economy and politics among many countries slave system then. As early as 7th to 8th century B.C., education in school was appeared. The time Plato was living was in the period of great change from old to new. Inside Athens, the fight both with open and secret means between conservative aristocrats and democratic political powers caused frequent changes of rulers. The war between Athens and the other country which lasted for 27 years end up defeat of pride Athens.
