摘要:为了解决在调查中发现的当今大学生在英语学习中存在的问题,我们需要改变学生的观念,提高他们的学习意识,塑造学生的归因,失败归咎于缺乏努力和战略,同时也需要给予一定的反馈;其次就是激发学生的内在兴趣,进行有趣的课堂教学,创造课外学习环境和改革考核制度;最后需完善学生的学习自主性,包括心理准备和技术准备。

Abstract  摘要


Most scholars in the field of foreign language teaching and learning agree that motivation is a key factor to successful language learning. Students with strong motivation are able to learn the foreign language initiatively and get good academic performance.
There are different views of motivation in English learning according to different researchers. Most of researchers have defined motivation as a desire that made people go to attain the goal. Some researchers point out motivation involves four aspects: a goal, effortful behavior, a desire to attain the goal and favorable attitudes, and refers to the motivation and effectiveness directly.

外语教学界大多数学者普遍认为,学习动机是外语学习过程中最重要的关键性因素,具有强烈学习动机的学生能够主动进行外语学习,取得较好的学习成绩。
对于动机在外语学习中的确切含义,不同的学者所下的定义不同。多数学者认为动机是一种内在驱动力,驱使人们主动追赶目标;有的学者认为动机涉及了四个方面的问题,目标、努力的行为、达到目标和积极的态度,并指出动机与效果有直接的关系。


The types of motivations in English learning involve integrative, instrumental and social-group-identification in purpose; and also included intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Some factors will influence motivation, such as goal, needs and belief.
From the survey of English major students and non-English major students, we can know the situation of English learning in the university. There is no big difference of learning motivation in English major students, but the non-English major students who have active motivation and know the importance of English would get high effectiveness, and those who with little interest would fail in effectiveness.

在外语学习动机中,其类型包括从目的划分可分为整合型动机、工具型动机和社团融合型动机;还包括内在和外在动机。动机的形成和过程会受到诸多因素的影响,归纳起来可包括目标、需求以及信仰。
在对在校英语专业学生和非专业学生的调查中,我们可以知道在校学生在英语学习中的大概情况。英语专业学生之间的学习动机相差不大,但是非专业学生就大相径庭,有好的动机且认识到英语重要性的学生取得不错的学习效果,而本身缺乏兴趣的就没有获得好成果。

In order to solve the problems from the survey in the university, we need changing students’ beliefs about learning, raising the awareness of being good learners, reshaping students’ attributions, helping students attribute failures to lack of effort, helping students attribute failures to lack of strategies and giving students appropriate feedback; next is arousing students’ intrinsic interest, making the language class interesting, creating extracurricular English learning environments and improving the assessment system. At last we need developing learner autonomy, including psychological preparations and technical preparations.
Students should use active attitude to face the learning effectiveness brought by motivation, and improve their learning effectiveness.
