Word is the smallest language unit of a text,and also the basis of languagecommunication.Whether words are translated properly and accurately will determine thequality of the translation.Sometimes,a poor translation of a word can even destroy thewhole translation.Therefore,translators should deal with the translation of words seriouslyso that target readers can acquire as much as information as the source text conveys.

As for lexical level,this section suggests different translation techniques,such asaddition,omission and conversion.

5.1.1 Addition

Addition is a common translation technique used for adding to the target text somenecessary words,phrases,clauses,or complete sentences based on the source text,trying toenable the target text to conform to the source text in grammar,language convention,culturalbackground,and so forth(Feng,2010:58).At lexical level,addition means adding words tothe target text.Using addition technique intends to fully convey the meaning of the sourcetext without ambiguity and improve the readability and accuracy of the target text.It must benoted that the added information is the implied meaning between the lines of the source text,which can’t be separated from the source text(Liu,2011:50).A supplement of a word orwords in translation can enhance coherence and smoothness of the translation for targetreaders’better and quick comprehension.

6.1 Major Findings of the Translation Report
