本文从实践的角度研究了支架式教学在高中生英语应用文写作中的具体应用。在研究过程中,不仅有大量的收获和发现,也有一些问题和不足。本部分对这些研究成果和存在的问题进行了全面的总结,也有利于今后教学过程中的进一步研究和探索。
Chapter Ⅰ Introduction
1.1 Research Background
English, with its advantages of international language and universal language, isgreatly influencing the various fields of today's society. As a way of connecting withthe world, English writing, which is different from spoken English, is a languageoutput skill that integrates the basic language knowledge accumulated by learnerswith the thinking and expression in English. It requires learners to have the logicalthinking ability to analyze and integrate relevant information, and at the meantime,apply the language knowledge to re-create. Also, writing is included in the five basiclanguage skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing and watching) that senior highschool students are required to master in general senior high school Englishcurriculum standards(2017 edition). Cultivating students' writing ability is animportant goal of senior high school English curriculum. Writing is one of therequired subjects in the annual college entrance examination. It can be seen thatwriting plays an important role in senior high school English teaching, which isrelated to the success or failure of the English subject examination in the collegeentrance examination, as well as an important factor affecting the further developmentof senior high school students' English learning in the future.
Through reading literature and understanding of practical writing in senior highschool, it's known that practical writing teaching is a relatively weak link in Englishteaching in senior high school. In daily teaching of English practical writing, teachersusually think that practical writing is written by students themselves, and they regardpractical writing as homework and students complete it by themselves, thusneglecting the classroom teaching of writing and paying no attention to students'writing process, which make it difficult to guarantee the quality of students' practicalwriting. So practical writing teaching is not really put into practice, and the situationof currency is not desired.

1.2 Research Purpose and Significance
1. Research Purpose
Upon understanding the related definitions, theoretical foundations, structures,guiding principles and theoretical advantages of Scaffolding instruction through referring to relevant literature at home and abroad, this paper discusses the necessityof the Scaffolding instruction applied to English practical writing teaching for seniorhigh school art students through empirical research; how the Scaffolding instruction isapplied to the teaching practice of English practical writing in art class; the feasibilityand effectiveness of the application of Scaffolding instruction to the teaching practiceof English practical writing in senior high school art class; whether the application ofScaffolding instruction in teaching of English practical writing can improve artstudents' writing interest, habit and ability. It is expected that the classroom teachingbased on instruction of scaffold can provide the empirical teaching demonstration andreference for English practical writing to senior high school art students.
