摘要:本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本研究分析了支架式教学法在高三英语阅读教学中的作用。通过对数据的分析,笔者发现高三学生的学习兴趣、学习策略和学习成绩都有了很大的提高。

本文是一篇高中英语教学论文,本研究探讨了支架式阅读教学模式在小学英语阅读教学中的作用。通过数据分析,我们可以看到,接受支架阅读教学模式后,实验班学生的阅读兴趣得到了激发,阅读成绩也得到了提高。很明显,学生正确运用了学习策略,包括认知策略、元认知策略和资源管理策略。我们还总结了本研究的主要发现、不足之处和教学启示,对高三英语阅读教学有一定的启示,对今后的研究有一定的价值。

Chapter1 Introduction

1.1 Background of the Study

According to the new English curriculum standards, the specific goal of Englishcurriculum in general senior high school is to cultivate and develop the students’ corequalities such as language ability, cultural awareness, thinking quality and learning abilityafter receiving English education in senior high school. English reading is one of the basicskills in English learning, which occupies an important score in the English test of senior highschool. The college entrance examination after the new curriculum reform attaches greatimportance to English reading ability, and most of the reading materials for the examinationare from foreign periodicals, which require students to have strong reading andcomprehension ability. What’s more, ordinary senior high school English course is a basiccourse for senior high school students to fully implement the Party’s educational policy, fulfilthe fundamental task of establishing morality and education people, develop the core qualityof English subject and train the builders and successors of socialism. However, in thetraditional English reading class, some teachers are not fully concerned about the emotionalneeds of students in the learning process, and just let the students passively accept the newknowledge, lacking the interaction with students in the classroom. In addition, becauseEnglish learning needs a long time to accumulate, many high school students' English readingability and grades appear polarized situation, which is caused for a variety of reasons. On theone hand, to improve the level of students' English reading ability, it is extremely necessary toimprove their vocabulary mastery, their cognitive ability, their literary accomplishment andother aspects, which all influence their English reading. On the other hand, some students'learning enthusiasm is not high, and once they encounter unfamiliar vocabulary or complexstructures, most of them will lose heart without their teachers’ proper guide. The researchresults show that the students reading anxiety is common in the process of reading and hassignificantly negative correlation with English reading, seriously influencing the students'reading learning.

1.2 Purpose of the Study

The purpose of this thesis is to study the application of scaffolding teaching approach insenior three English reading, its impact on the students English reading interest, theapplication of their learning strategies and their performance through comparing thetraditional English reading teaching with the teaching mode under the guidance of scaffoldinginstruction. By analyzing the influence of the application of scaffolding approach in seniorhigh three reading teaching on the students of different English reading levels respectively,the author intended to stimulate the students' cooperation consciousness and communicationability to improve the whole quality of high school students English reading performance.
