摘要:本文是一篇高中英语论文,本研究将Suggestopedia应用于高中英语阅读教学,以确定Suggestop是否能改变学生对英语阅读学习的态度,提高学生的英语阅读理解能力。

that due to the exam-oriented education system,many teachersin senior high school frequently applied the bottom-up model to English teaching so that students could remember more words to pass exams.There was no denying the fact that thiskind of teaching method could make students master more vocabularies and sentence patterns.However,the bottom-up model emphasized words,phrases and sentences too much,while itdid not stress that reading was a complicated psychological and communicative process whichrequired reader’s positive involvement.During the reading process,the experience andknowledge of the reader would influence his understanding of the text(Goodman Kenneth,1972).Therefore,the bottom-up model,which treated English reading as a passive decodingprocess owned its limitations(Schmidt Ludger,1992).

Aiming to investigate the effect of the application of Suggestopedia to Englishreading teaching in senior high school,these students in both EC and CC are requiredto complete the pre-test and post-test within forty minutes.The specific results anddiscussion of the tests grades are presented as follows:

5.1.1 Results and Analysis of the Pre-test between EC and CC

To find out whether the English reading levels of theses students in EC and CC aresimilar,the author compares the reading scores of the pre-test in EC and CC.The full grade ofthe test is 40.And the results of students’pre-test grades between EC and CC are compared inthe following part.

The author recorded the English reading grades of the pre-test,with the help of Exceland SPSS 25.0 before the teaching experiment.The results of Table 5-1 indicate that theaverage grade of the EC is 14.51,while the average grade of the CC is 14.91,and the gap isonly 0.4,which proves that the difference in mean grades between EC and CC is not apparent.

6.1 Major Findings
