摘要:本文是一篇高中英语论文,从实践的角度来看,本研究的结果充分证明了在高中英语阅读教学中整合文化内容和培养文化意识的必要性,在实验研究过程中,作者清楚地了解了影响学生阅读理解能力和跨文化意识培养实施的相关因素,并为解决这一问题提出了一些有价值的参考。

5.1 Creating relaxed environment for cultural knowledge learning of students

Language acquisition theory and teaching practice have proved that exposure tolanguage environment is the best way to learn language(Patrick R.Moran.2004:137).Chinese students learn English as a foreign language,especially high school students.They have few opportunities to contact English.They have little time to deal withEnglish except using and contacting English in English class.They know less aboutEnglish cultural knowledge,so teachers and schools should strive to create an Englishlearning atmosphere,create an English cultural atmosphere,put students in an Englishworld,use English,learn English,learn English cultural knowledge and cultivatecultural awareness.Most high school students in China know little about the UnitedStates or Western English speaking countries,and do not have the opportunity topersonally feel their cultural atmosphere in those countries.Therefore,teachers canpost maps of the United States or Britain in the classroom to explain theiradministrative divisions to students,so that students can have an image understanding of these countries.Teachers can also introduce them to students in the form of playingteaching films,which will be more vivid and attract students'interest.

Conclusion

Major findings

Based on the current level of cross-cultural awareness of senior high schoolstudents,this study investigated 200 students randomly selected from grade two ofTongliao No.5 Senior High School.The survey results show that most senior highschool students understand the importance of cross-cultural awareness in Englishreading learning.However,due to the influence of the teaching environment,theyhave little understanding of cross-cultural knowledge,and lack the awareness ofcross-cultural autonomy in classroom and extracurricular activities.And it cannotmake good use of learning resources inside and outside the class,and has not formeda certain system of cross-cultural knowledge.At the same time,students also havemany problems in English reading learning.Students pay too much attention to thestudy of language knowledge,ignore the importance of cultural knowledge and lackthe mastery of cultural background knowledge.Due to the differences in learninglevel and ability among students,cultivating students'cross-cultural awareness inEnglish reading teaching has become a difficult problem.

In view of the above problems,this study puts forward the correspondingtraining strategies by referring to the relevant theories at home and abroad and theunderstanding of the reading learning and cross-cultural awareness of the sophomoresin Tongliao No.5 Senior High School.First,create an environment conducive tocultural knowledge learning and a relaxed learning atmosphere.
