在理论课，一部分时间是老师讲课：涉及到Dewey, Plato,Aristotle,Rou等的理论，用来说明教育与教师等等的老师本人的看法，另外时间是大家在讨论与做个人的presentation, dewey的理论我看得比较多，而且下周是我做presentation,我也准备做相关的陈述。

在课程课，和前一门差不多只不过是更实际更具体化一些，一些大的教育学家的理论也是穿插其中，也是讨论兼授课

论文要求
我们的考试就是论文，所以这些essays就特别重要，请您多费心。总的来说就是题目选的不要大并且说清是在哪里发生的事情issue,我想更正的是我要交上去的都是关于中国教育现状探讨的论文，但是除了“理论”一课之外我一直都没有找到合适的题目（下面我会和您探讨）；第二点就是论文的逻辑性一定要强，因为我这些professor的实力都很强，说不通他们就难过关；第三点就是措辞不要太突兀了，不要写太长的句子难懂的句子，但是也不要过于简单（我不知道）该怎么写。我将附上一篇以前秘鲁学生写的“课程设置”的文章供您参考；第四点是千万不可以抄袭否则就没有学位了，对于reference或者是如果是直接用某人的论据的话要住上处处并精确到第几页；请您用到我所提到的相关教育学家的思想和意见加以对比分析，尤其是Dewey我看了比较多他的文章，没办法，每个老师都有强调理论。

老师对论文的要求是：
1． Controversies in Educational Theory Policy and Practice (4,500 word)
Examine the philosophical or conceptual problems and implications of some issue of your own choice concerning educational theories policy and practice.
Two possible strategies
a. Identify a topic upon which where is an already existing literature containing arguments for and against a particular educational theory or policy. For example: there is a wealth of literature for and against competence models of teacher education and training, common and alternative curricula and market conceptions of educational provision.
Having identified some significant literature, you essay would normally proceed:
 To identify clear arguments for theory or policy X,
 To identify clear arguments against theory or policy X,
 To give your own rational evaluation of the debate.
b. Select a particular piece of official or semi-official educational policy documentation of recent year-for example, an item of Scotish SCCC documentation (say from 5-14) or an example of English SCAA, QCA or Ofsted policy recommendation- and submit with this to rigorous critical scrutiny.
Having selected an appropriate item of documentation, your essay would normally proceed
 To give a clear account of the argument or proposal of the document
 To raise critical questions about the whole or aspects of the document,
To suggest some possible revision of or alternative to the proposals in the light of the criticisms.
