methodology
 The type of investigation
In this paper, some parts tend to illustrate the features of this paper; the other parts tend to describe the researching purposes, key technologies and relative research of LTE system. For example, in the key technologies there have OFDMA and SC.FDMA, Multi-antenna technology, Hybrid Automatic Repeat request technique and Link adaptation technology and so on. The paper is mainly to investigate the security aspect of LTE system. In addition, there is the most important aspects of the research methodology in the study: the analysis technique.

 The qualitative data collection
In order to ensure the quality of the study, the paper collects the number of knowledge through reading some papers which refer to the various aspects of this study. And the study concludes the knowledge.

 The quantitative data collection
In the past, the quantitative data collection usually used the closed questionnaire and answered for a fixed choice of ring-administered. So the researchers are difficult to deduce the cause why the people choose this choice. In order to overcome the weakness, the study used the discussion of typical workshops. The characteristic of this method is the rigorous and scientific throughout the whole process. There is the main feature of this approach, in order to obtain the necessary factual information through the group effect.

In this study, the paper gave whole security architecture of LTE system. And through investigation, the security architecture of LTE network is similar to security architecture of UMTS. Moreover, through the study 3GPP LTE system should provide more advanced security mechanism than 2G/GSM and 3G/UMTS.
