It plays a vital role in intercultural communication. 1.2 The Relationship between News and Translation 　　The rapid integration of world’s economy, also called globalization, has been facilitated by information revolution driven by communication technologies that provide a nervous system form our world today. Dramatic changing has happened in our life, which takes place in many aspects such as politics, communication, business, trade, life style and culture. Events happening beyond our borders may have great impact on our life .In this age of information, communication systems are at the leading edge of society，economic and political changes, and news can reflect those changes at first time. People often gain information of the whole world from the news. As English becomes the world language, most of countries translated their news into English, if we want to know the foreign news we need to translate it into Chinese. Nowadays a lot of Chinese news is also available everyday in foreign newspaper, on TV, on radio and on Internet, for this point, it is very necessary for us to translate Chinese news into English by means of all kinds of media deliver to the other countries and districts, only in this way the world can know China more. 　　The relationship between news and translation is similar to that of bridge and banks. Translation is the bridge that can make news exchange freely. Without translation, foreigners can’t share Chinese news and foreign news is can’t be shared by Chinese. Chapter 2 The Stylistic Characteristics of News Translation 2.1The Style of News 　　Style is the essential characteristic of every piece of writing; the outcome of the writer’s personality and his emotions at the moment, and no single paragraph can be put together without revealing in some degree the nature of its author.
