4.1 Personalized Translation
The translators play the most active role in conveying the information of the original text. In literary translation, most of them follow their own translation principles and have their own unique translation goals. A major feature of many personalized translations is “domestication” which is to express the content of the original work in an extremely natural and fluent target language, but there is a problem of “annexation” of the original culture by the target culture in varying degrees. (Xie Tianzhen, 1992:30-31). Domestication is common in literary translation, because literary works often contain many cultural connotations of the source language. The translation would be difficult to understand for readers without domestication.
In literary translation, the language, culture and aesthetic information of the original work are mapped into the translator’s cognitive structure, and the translator interprets and expresses the original text by using his own recognized translation strategies and techniques and unique language and expression style according to his own knowledge vision, personality, cultural orientation and aesthetic expectation. There are traces of personalization in the translation. On the one hand, it is the personalization of the interpretation of the original content, on the other hand, it is the personalization of the expression form of the translation (Wang Zhenping, 2016:114). The process of literary translation can be said to be a “re-creation” process because the translator plays a creative role in order to cater to the target readers’ preferences and integrate the translation into the target language environment.

5.1 Major Findings of the Study
First of all, “creative treason” can effectively guide the translation of short stories. “Creative treason” should be the transformation in the language expression level. The creative use of expressive techniques can be made through personalized translation, addition, omission and conscious mistranslation. First, when encountering slang or habitual expressions, the same word appearing many times with different connotations and cultural images with different cultural connotations, the personalized translation should be used. Second, addition should be used to supplement the implied content of the original text and strengthen the description of the environment. Third, omission can be used to delete redundant conjunctions and repeated explanations. Fourth, when some expressions in the original text are vague and do not conform to Chinese expression habits and way of thinking, conscious mistranslation can be adopted.
Secondly, proper usage of four-character words, buzzwords and idiomatic expressions in Chinese can help to shape characters vividly. The translator should fully understand the original characters from all aspects, including appearance, personality characteristics, education level, status and so on.
