With the development of economy and culture in New Zealand and the increase of social pressure, we can find it is very ordinary that the father and mother have to go to work to increase the household income. Meanwhile, as we know, in New Zealand society, the changes in communication and technology happen at everyday. In order to deal with such changes, the children need the early educator give them help to develop their capacity to continue studying new skills and knowledge (Garbarino, 2002). So we can see that the early childhood Education is occupying an important position. In other words, the early childhood educators also are playing more important role of teaching child and child-rearing. A good early educator should understand feeding, playing, discipline or behaviour management as aspects of childrearing practice. They also should understand how society and culture influence these aspects and how these aspects affect children's growth and development. This essay will analyze child-rearing of the early educator and how society and culture influence the children’s growth and development.

To better understand what happens inside the clinical setting, this chapter looks outside. It reveals the diverse effects of culture and society on early education. This understanding is key to developing early education services that are more responsive to the cultural and social contexts.
