1.3 Factors that affect the language development of children
After the introduction to the three different stages of children's physiological and psychological characteristics, we should be concerned about that what factors affect the development and acquisition of children's language ability. Physical development, language environment, cognitive development, these three factors determine the children's language acquisition. Since the development of each child is different, special, every child's level of language development will be uneven, vary widely. But the day after tomorrow can change the locale. There are six of these factors: 1.Genetic, the language type of children are often similar to their parents’; 2. Birth order, first-born children speak earlier, this may be due to the family have more time to teach him, or their spoken have no the interference of other brothers and sisters;3.Sex, general speaking, girls talk earlier than boys, this may be due to two reasons, the different natural conditions of men and women, parents of girls than of boys talk more, boys are often more in the physical requirements;4. Language environment, this is the most important factors, children in a rich language environment will develop better language skills; 5. Rearing conditions, in the collective, children more contact with other children, more opportunities to speak, it is conducive to language development; 6. Personal development time. In these 6 factors, genetics, birth order and gender is genetically determined. The language of the environment, raising conditions, personal development time can be considered appropriate changing, to promote language skills faster and better development.

Chapter 2   Language Development in Infancy

2.1 Three factors determine the status of infancy language development
When we talked about the language development in the stage of infancy, we should particularly note the development of babies’ speech perception. Three factors determine the status of their development. The first is infants’ initial perceptual capacities and biases, infants know about the sound sequences that make possible words in their language and something about the word sequences that make possible sentences in their language well before they produce these forms or understand their meaning. And the second is language to which infants are exposed, for example, the baby usually communicate with their parents more, parents sing songs to them, telling stories, and take him out for a walk and describe what they see, to increase his vocabulary, and arouse their interest in communicating with others. The last is infants’ perceptions of the sounds they themselves produce. baby will use different crying express their feeling, may be hungry, pee, and hold him or dignitaries; and when the baby was happy, comfortable, pleasant voice will be issued. In the course of language development, crying and pleasure the sound is very important first step.
2.2 Cognitive processes in early word learning.
