So we can see the great necessityof improving English majors’ listening comprehensive ability in order to enhancetheir English language ability.

The sixth grade of requirement requires students to understand the listening materials withhigh level and infer the speaker’s attitude, emotion and real intention of speaking.Obviously this newly issued document caters for the tendency of the development ofthe society. It attaches the importance to listening comprehension in communication.Meanwhile, it emphasizes the importance of grasping the main idea and inference ofspeaker’s real intention .But according to the researchers’ survey, most students thinktheir listening comprehension competence is poor and they cannot concentrate on thematerial on the whole while they are doing listening exercises.
