1 Introduction  引言


Training means Education. So the training and development in human resource management of organizations is the activities which are aim to improve the performance both organizational and individual. It is also called employee development, human resource development, and learning and development. Exactly, the training and development should include two aspects to explain. On the one hand, the training involves an expert who charges with the education of knowledge or skills to learners in order to improve their integrative features. On the other hand, the concept of development is defined on a basis of broad, ongoing multi-faceted series of things which will update employees or organization itself to a higher level of threshold as regards for the performances (Training and development, 2007).

培训的手段:教育。所以在组织人力资源管理的培训和发展是旨在提高组织和个人的活动。它也被称为员工发展,人力资源开发,以及学习和发展。没错,培训和发展应该包括两个方面来解释。在一方面,培训涉及的专家与知识或技能的学习者的教育费用,以提高他们的综合功能。在另一方面,发展的概念是广泛的,持续的多方位的一系列的事情,将更新员工或组织本身到一个更高的表现水平(培训及发展,2007年)。


Maybe it could be understood by the requirement of performance management. It is said that if the performance appraisal demonstrated that there needs some performance improvement, the organizations must plan accordingly the training and development for an updating. For another important reason for training and development, it is the corporate strategy which needs to change or improve according to outside or inside forces (Carter, 2005).
Therefore, many researchers and practitioners believed that the training and development are interdependent with the corporate strategy in organizations. This paper is under the requirement of detail analysis as regard for this relationship to determine it. It regards the training and development as an implementation for the corporate strategy in organizations.

1.1 Background to the relationship between training and development and corporate strategy  培训和发展与企业战略之间的关系背景


Training and development means updating for someone or development, usually it is understood accordingly. Yes, the activities of training and development bring changes to organization or individual (Rosemary, 2005). The employees maybe obtain new job ability or new career. It has been reviewed that training and development usually encompasses three activities including training, education, and development. Perhaps, in someone’s perspective, the three activities are considered as same adjective. But, while the terms are used for practitioners, they are three different concepts, but related with each other. Training could be used to the learners who are not sophisticated with currently job and need to update. Education is the activity which the practitioner maybe performs in future, and need to learn new skills or knowledge. Training and education would be evaluated by the current jobs. But development is clearly different with previous. It includes the training and education activities and new individuals who will work using the skills.
