Conclusion

Though the present thesis has done a detailed research on the euphemisms usedin the four types of business English letters, it inevitably has its limitations;
(1) The research conducted in this thesis is made on the basis of a comparativelysmall size of materials due to limited access to real ones from foreign companies.Only four types of 74 letters are chosen as research data. The limited types andnumber of material may influence the accuracy and authenticity of this thesis.
(2) The present thesis only focuses on the contextual correlated and structuralobjects of adaptation theory but ignores of the study on dynamics of adaptabilitysalience of the adaptation processes, which may not be comprehensive.
(3) The study on euphemisms in business English letters is mainly made form theperspective of the writer.
(4) The thesis may be subjective due to limited personal ability.
