摘要:Therefore, thestudy will help to provide favorable suggestions as well as useful information forbusiness English course designers and teachers. In addition, this thesis can be used asreference for future reform in business English of vocational college by formulatingteaching objectives and contents.

ed needs analysis intotarget situations analysis and learning situations analysis from the content. Targetsituations analysis is regarded as the goal students achieved at the end of the course. Itis based on the practical language application. Learning situations analysis refers tothe student's current target language level, learning environment, personal desire,learning strategies and something else concerned with learning.It has been thirty years after needs analysis was applied in the foreign languageteaching process. Richterich (1972) first put forward needs analysis model of foreignlanguage teaching. It was first used in the teaching of ESP (English for SpecificPurposes), pointing out that how to meet the foreign language learners in the languageenvironment of the communication needs of the series category, which weresubsequently used in determining the specific language of ESP teaching contents andobjectives. Cohen (2000:390) pointed out that needs analysis could be used tounderstand students' requirements of teaching, analyze students’ achievement in theweak points in foreign language teaching process and identify problems in order todraw their attention.

2.2 Research on vocational Education


2.2.1 Development of vocational education
Chinese vocational education started late, but it was also the result ofdevelopment of economy and population. Especially the "Decision of the StateCouncil on the Development of Vocational Education" (Higher Education [2006] No.16), "Opinions on the Implementation of Construction Plans of NationalDemonstrative Vocational Colleges, Speeding up Vocational Education Reform andDevelopment by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance " (StateCouncil [2005] No. 35) and other adopted documents, greatly promoted thedevelopment of vocational education, making a portion of vocational education intohigher education inseparably, and held a great percentage.In terms of educational purpose, vocational education is a high level ofsecondary education, closely linked with social and economic development. Therefore,vocational education is a concept of keeping pace with the times. The goal ofvocational education can be summarized as follows: first, vocational education is totrain the builders of socialist modernization, pioneering, with innovative spirit andsense of social responsibility, morality, intelligence, aesthetics, etc. The graduates willbe comprehensive talents of applied technology and high skills. Second, vocationaleducation is to train the successors of socialism, who are required to study theories ofgreat thinkers of Marx Lenin, Mao Zedong thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and theimportant thought of "Three Represents", adhering to the scientific outlook ondevelopment, becoming a special talent with morality, culture, discipline, technology,management knowledge and business operation. Third, vocational education is tocultivate the talent who is healthy both physically and mentally, with personalityperfection in life, and who is diligent with the courage to forge ahead and innovate.
