Introduction
With the development of corporation structure, corporations have more accounting choices to establish new investment (Thomas D, Thomas Z and Linda, 2001) .  There are Greenfield investment, joint venture, cooperative enterprises, associated enterprises and partnership which business entities share with each other the profit and loss (Tony, 2010).  Accordingly, there are several kinds of holding structures for the parent https://www.51lunwen.org/Accounting/  company, for example, absolutely holding, monitory holding and cross holding.  The holding structures decide different decision-making systems and different problems may emerge.  This essay will focus on the cross holding structure and its decision-making problems.  The essay will firstly give a brief overview of the parent company and its subsidiaries.  Following this part, it will raise two typical problems the subsidiaries faced with.  Then, it will put forward solutions to solve these dilemmas.  Finally, it will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of such corporation structure and give suggestions to improve the dilemmas stemming from the disadvantages.

Conclusion
In conclusion, modern corporations have more choices on investment strategies and corporation structures.  Each kind of structure possesses its own advantages and disadvantages.  Corporations should select strictly according to practical situation.  In the case study mentioned above, cross holding structure is efficient when a subsidiary traps into dilemmas, because the subsidiary can get help easily from the parent company.  But cross holding structure requires highly skilled management capability.  The structure is complex, thus adds management difficulty.  If one subsidiary performs badly, it may affect the benefit of other subsidiaries or the parent company.   So corporations which adopt cross holding structure system should deal with every details carefully.  A small business can either prosper nor destroy the whole Group.  Only by operating every business well, can the whole Group gain profit on a large scale and develop sustainably.
