This essay will principally discuss some contents about the film The Searchers, which was directed by John Ford was considered as one of the greatest films in the American history. It mainly described the American’s cavalry spirit, marriage views, individualism, freedom, kinship relationships, racial conflicts between the white guys and aborigines, the Indians and so on. This essay will talk about the race conflicts which have shown in the film The Searchers. In order to have a better understanding about this film, it is necessary for us to know cultural and social background at that specified time. Therefore, this essay will attach great importance to the racial conflicts which happened in the American society during that time.
