3.0 Economists use statistical methods in the essay and academic studies
3.0.1 Use statistics to analyze the economical situation
Usually, government to analyze the economical situation in one year or in several years uses statistics. For example, the following diagram is about China’s gross international reserves.

 We could clearly conclude that in 2000, the gross international reserve of China is less than 200 billions dollars. In 2005, it is about 800 billions dollars. It is about 4 times than the year of 2000.So we can say that the Foreign Exchange Reserve has been increasing in China.

3.0.2 Predict the economic trends
If we could use statistics to analyze the economic situation, we could predict the economic trends of one country. The following diagram could show the current situation of China’s trade surplus and the economic trends in the near future.

We could see) that since 2000, China’s exports surpass imports and have maintained an upward trend. It is obvious that the current account surplus have been increasing since 2000.


3.0.3 Scatter plots shows the variable of different years
People could easily understand statistics, so usually the scatter plots in statistics could show the variable of different years. For example, in chart 1 and chart 2, we could clearly see the number of each year. So in chart 2, we could see the gross international reserve of China varied in different years. In chart 1, we could see the changes of China’s exports, imports and current account surplus in recent years.


4.0 Biological problems can be analyzed by using statistics
4.0.1 Statistical charts show the relationship between two variables
Statistics is commonly used in biology to analysis and interpret biological phenomena so as to grasp the nature and the laws (Tijms. Henk, 2004). In biological study, in order to have study on two variables, usually it is needed to use statistical chart to have a comparison between them.


4.0.2 Statistics could find the laws of biological phenomena
In biological study, the researcher will use statistics to deal with the biological problems. In this process, there will be study design, sampling, analysis, calculation of conclusion. One Belgian mathematician Quetelet LAJ firstly proposed the Biostatistics. He tried to apply statistical theory to solve the biological, medical and sociological problems. In 1866, the reveal the basic laws of heredity which is a successful story of mathematical statistics in biological statistics (William Lee., 1973 ).


4.0.3 Using statistics to efficiently analyze the data of biology
Statistics is considered to be a method of collection, analysis, interpretation or explanation, and presentation of data (Moses. Lincoln E., 1986), while others consider it to be a branch of mathematics (William Lee, 1973). Analyzing data is the basic function of statistics. If data is not be analyzed, it is just plenty of information and useless for the study. Statistics could use all kinds of tools to have an efficient analysis about the data in biology.
