its the student's performance.
I provide individual candidates with detailed feedback on how they performed, and, in particular, let them know how and where they went wrong in any area where they failed to demonstrate competence. We then discuss how we are going to put these issues right, an action plan is agreed and a review date is documented and signed by both the candidate and myself. I hold a tracking document indicating the progress of all candidates at any one time. All records are completed with the input and agreement of the candidate and signed and dated (in pen) by both of us at the time to indicate this agreement. (Appendix 2).
Individual pieces of work are assessed and a feedback sheet is completed, this acts as a reminder for the student and a prompt for me when reviewing the content of the submitted work during feedback to the student.

记录——Records
As in all assessment processes, the importance of record keeping can not be understated they must be used in order to promote reliability and validity of assessment in a way that is transparent to all involved. In essence, accurate and comprehensive records promote transparency - where anyone involved in the process, or using the outcomes of assessment, should be able to see clearly how and why the decision was made.
When judging me as a trainee teacher, assessors may find it helpful to consider, for example: do my records provide a basis for setting or reviewing learning objectives? Are my records easily understood by other colleagues who need to know in some detail about pupils' progress and levels of achievement? Do their records provide a sound basis on which they, or others, can draw to present accurate reports on pupils' progress and attainment?
Records that we as an Engineering Department keep include tutor observations, staff development plans, reviews of attendance/retention/ achievement data, registers, exam results records, records of initial assessment, moderator reports, learners work, minutes of meetings, learner questionnaires and individual learner plans. These records are used in order to prepare the department SAR.
Castle College similar to any other providers involved with funded delivery has to produce an annual Self Assessment Report. In addition, they also have to produce a Quality Improvement Plan which must be reviewed periodically and we must provide evidence that this has taken place. The College treat these SAR and QIP as vital planning tools and performance indicators designed to implement and manage change.
Evaluating the success of learners is at the heart of self-assessment, but it is also very much about assessing how well the needs of employers and learners are being met and the active promotion of equal opportunities and health and safety. Self-assessment also makes clear providers' capacity to bring about improvement and their success in doing so.
'The principal responsibility for quality improvement remains with providers themselves. The Government looks to all providers to adopt strategies for securi
