1 Introduction
1.1 Research Background
When we learned “English in a Changing World”, we know that language keeps changing. English, as an international language, is changing fast in a changing world. Vocabulary is the most active part. This trend is particularly obvious in IT industry.  Since the first computer ENIAC’s birth in 1946, IT industry has developed at an astonishing speed. Information technology has brought us great change to our life.

Society and information technology are rapidly co-evolving, and often in surprising ways. The Internet has created a new focus of computation: computer-mediated communication and interaction.

IT makes our life more convenient, makes our life more efficient, make the world smaller and smaller.

“Translation can be seen as modern means of communication.”(Wolfram Wilss, 1982). With the increasing globalization and more and more international communication, translation becomes much more important than ever before.

It’s well-known that IT originated from abroad especially USA. In order to learn and master them as soon as possible, we need to do large amount of translation work from English into Chinese. IT terms, as the most important part, should be paid much more attention.
