Chapter 1 Introduction


1.1 Research Background
作为国内最大的组外语教师,英语教师总是吸引研究人员的重视。真正的研究重点是语言技能的培训和学术知识,突出的英语教师的职业发展。英语教师队伍的心理健康是其社会价值和工具价值的研究现状相比,相对忽略。这是肯定的英语教师的心理健康是整个英语教学活动至关重要。缺乏在这方面的关注可能直接导致英语教师,如在教学生涯中面临着一个两难的职业发展产生负面影响。作为模型的作用,教书育人是教师的责任。一直以来,中国表现出更大尊重自古时间比定子教师,教师不,永远值得尊重,至少不是所有的人的一种传统。有心理问题的教师往往表现出他们的敌意,指责,嘲笑对他们的学生。此外,更严重的心理问题,老师,更糟糕的暴力事件。这种现象并不偶然。教师的心理健康状况是紧密相连的。
As the largest group of foreign language teachers, English teachers always attracts muchattention of researchers. The real focus of researchers is on the training of language skills andacademic knowledge, which highlighting the occupational development of English teachers.Compared with the research situation of its social value and tool value, English teachers'development of mental health is relatively ignored.It is sure that the mental health of English teachers is of vital importance throughout theEnglish teaching activity. Lacking of the concern in this area could directly lead to a negativeimpact on the occupational development for English teachers, such as facing a dilemma inteaching career.Serving as the role of models, teaching and educating is the responsibility of teachers. It haslong been a tradition for Chinese to show a greater respect for teachers since ancient times.However, teachers do not always deserve the respect, at least not all of them. Teachers withpsychological problems tend to show their hostility, blame, ridicule towards their students.Moreover, the more serious psychological problems the teacher has, the worse violent incidentsare. This phenomenon does not happen by chance. It is closely linked to the situation of theteachers' mental health.
Faced with these challenges, the physical and mental system of teachers will follow a seriesof changes under psychological pressure. Psychological pressure will affect the cognitive,emotional, behavioral and physiological processes, as a consequence, cognitive, emotional,behavioral and physiological also affect or change the psychological pressure, being activelynoticed as they are "zooming in" or "narrowing". Among them, cognitive has a decisive impact.Meanwhile, moderate pressure can cause a positive reflection on people. But if the pressure isexcessive, however, it may cause a physical, psychological and behavioral reaction negatively, toproduce all kinds of psychosomatic phenomena. These physical and mental disorders, in turn,"zoom in" psychological pressure by creating a vicious cycle and eventually lead to apsychological crisis.Comrade Deng Xiaoping once pointed out, "Whether or not a school is capable of training qualified personnel workers for the socialist construction, and of fostering them with aroundphysical and moral development of socialist consciousness and culture, the key lies in theteacher." If the teacher engaged with serious psychological problems, how can we cultivatestudents with healthy mental?
Since the 1990s, teachers' mental health has been causing great interest at large in thecommunity of Education and Psychology. In the existing research on teachers' mental health,psychological problems of the teachers are showing more and more recessive and variant. Inmiddle schools, there is a growing emphasis on the mental health of students, whereas, it lacksattention to teachers' mental health problems.
