摘要:In order to improve the English level of Tibetan students and the Englisheducation in Tibet, firstly, the thesis collects the Tibetan students’ English background,and their views toward grammatical complexity during English syntactic acquisition.

including pronunciation,intonation, grammar, etc. Its main syntax characteristics are as the following:Tibetan verbs include transitive verbs and intransitive verbs. The characteristicsof Tibetan verbs are: transitive verb can form verb-object construction, andauxiliary is required to be added to subject to indicate subject- verb agreement. Basedon the behavioral agent’s restrictive ability to the behavior, Tibetan verbs can also bedivided into volitional verbs and involuntary verbs.By adding affix to verb root or using flexion, Tibetan verbs are used aspredicates to express some semantic meanings. The flexion shows verbs’ tense andvoice. The flexion of Tibetan verbs is contrast, that means there is no constantconnection between a form and its meaning.Tibetan sentences focus on hypotaixis. It means to express various meanings andrelations between words by formal signs, principally by morphological changes ofverbs and by using of relatives, therefore Tibetan sentences are formed formally.With verb as the head, Tibetan sentences are formed by words which areconnected by various relatives.

Conclusion


At present, most of the language transfer researches focus on the influence ofChinese on English. Few of them are about negative transfer phenomenon of Tibetanstudents in the special Tibetan- Chinese- English language environment. As syntaxtransfer can reflect language transfer directly, the author analyzes Tibetan Englishmajors’ compositions based on the theories like interlanguage hypothesis, markednesstheory, etc, and finds out the main syntax errors in their compositions through EA.Then through contrastive analysis between English, Chinese and Tibetan, andindividual interview, the reasons for the syntax errors are found out.
