Conclusion


According to the result of this research, scaffolding instruction is an effective teachingmethod that can be applied in English writing teaching. With the use of scaffoldinginstruction, students can get an easier and more comfortable way to improve their writingproficiency in English writing. They become more capable and are more interested in Englishwriting. What’s more, scaffolding instruction changes the old views of traditional teachingmethod. The center in the teaching activities is no longer teacher, but the students. The rolesof teacher become instructor, assistor, organizer and participant.
The experiment, which has been studied for a period of 16 weeks in two classes, gets alittle success. It successfully proved that the scaffolding teaching method can improve thestudents’ writing proficiency and activate the students’ interest and motivation in Englishwriting. It also proves that scaffolding instruction can improve the learners’ ability to solveproblems in English writing. In addition, it is also found that scaffolding instruction canenhance the emotion between students and teacher and strengthen unity of the whole class.But the researches on scaffolding instruction and English writing are far from the end, thisresearch is just a beginning.
