Conclusion


This thesis is only a tentative effort, and undoubtedly there are limitations needto be explored. Owing to the limitations of time, space and resources as well as theauthor's Krashen emphasized the importance of the quantity of input repeatedly.Learners can receive lots of language knowledge by a large number of inputs and thenconsolidate the knowledge to master it in the end. Lack of reading will hinder theprogress of ability of reading comprehension.Of course, because of the limited level of the author, the period of research, thestudents involved in the experiment, the limited ability of the teachers engaged in theexperiment and other reasons, the practical application of the Input Hypothesis to theteaching of senior high school English reading and utilization of the experimentalresearch remains to be further verified, which requires more English teachers andresearchers in the field of language teaching research and discussion. In teachingpractice, teachers should try their best to increase the amount of reading material tostudents, maximize the amount of reading that will improve the reading speed in orderto improve students’ ability of reading comprehension and then improve Englishreading teaching.
However, some problems are revealed in the application of input Hypothesis inthe senior students’ English reading. For example, it is likely that the increasingreading input add the student’s extra burden of learning. As a teacher, we should payattention to the balance among all the subjects.
