Corporate Communication and Public Affairs: Comparing BBC-1 with CCTV-1


Abstract
At the turn of the centuries, we have to pay more attention to the issue—Globalization of Television Communication Broadcasting. In many media experts’ view, there is a trend of specialization in TV area. But we can see that there are some successful influential channels, such as British BBC-1 and China CCTV-1.In the case of their success, there are some kinds of factors which contribute to the success. But if we see insight to them, we can find out some limitations both BBC-1 and CCTV-1. This thesis brings globalization together with intercultural communication study. When put intercultural communication as the practice or the research itself in the context of globalization, the writer realize intercultural communication the very activity is pushing forward the process of globalization, which brings not all good for developing countries as China. This thesis aims to provide insight to the development of English TV channels and Chinese and to provide references for further research in this field.
