The researcher has selected and ensures that the interviewee or those surveyed are rich in experience and similar in background with the operation the US battery company is preparing to begin in order to ensure that the most reliable data is obtained

The US battery company is a global manufacturer and provider of power solutions for diverse applications. The company designs, engineers and builds custom Li-ion rechargeable batteries complete with battery management systems for use in military/national security, transportation and stationary power markets. The company also manufactures its own unique cells. Our leading technology capabilities, manufacturing infrastructure and management strengths enable us to provide a unique breadth of solutions in battery design, manufacturing, marketing, and delivery. Early industrial and government customers include NASA, Lockheed Martin, ThyssenKrupp, scientific research facilities and the national defense agencies of the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, now more than half of our sales are in the automotive sector for electric vehicle and hybrid developments for passenger and commercial vehicles.

1.2 Thesis Objective

The goal of this research is to recommend the US Company on how to respond and control the major risks of setting up a production line in China jointly with a Chinese battery manufacturer and acquaint them with the risk management process
