摘要:论文以稻田中学初中学生使用的教学,以提高自己的英语学习能力的学习计划,并从一个新的角度探讨英语教学探索。

This kind of teaching reform in class canimmensely stimulate the students' interest in learning, and different goalscould be set for different levels of students and different learningstrategies could be adopted. As a result, all students can make progressrespectively.


0.2 Significance of the Study研究意义
As a process of exploration, teaching is the bilateral activitiesbetween teachers and students. So it concludes the choice of teachingmodel methods, teaching resources optimization and integration (Cohen,2005).The LCTP method is a kind of ongoing learning program andguidance materials, the teacher should be familiar with the contents andNew Curriculum thoroughly and fully understand the status of thestudents. In English class students are guided to study autonomouslyaccording to the teaching materials and the teaching goals. The teacherplays an important role in class to guide or help students participate inclass activities actively and get knowledge by thinking and behaving bythemselves instead of only imparting knowledge. The enthusiasm of thestudents has been greatly mobilized.LCTP is not only for teachers to teach but also for students to use. Itstresses the learning way of students but not the teaching way of teachers.As a result, the aim of teaching by using LCTP method is to teach thestudent "how to leam" instead of "what to leam". What's more, the aimhas been changed from "how to teach" by teachers to "how to leam" bystudents. In the long term, it tries to cultivate life-long learning ability aswell. By using LCTP method, the knowledge frames could be constructedin their mind and enough time could be given to students and students'own thinking process could not be replaced by teachers and reallyreturned back to students. With the help of teachers, students can solveproblems independently. If they are given full time to their initiative, andincrease their sense of success and confidence in learning. In this way,students' learning effects could be finally improved.This thesis shows that it is a better teaching method to improvestudents' learning effects.


0.3 Structure of the Thesis and the Research Methods研究方法和论文结构
In this thesis, first of all, we examine the development of LCTPmethod, and the development of autonomy learning as well as thedefinition, characteristics and the principles of the LCTP. Then thetheoretical bases have been expatiated in the next chapter, including theAutonomous Learning Theory, Constructivism and Humanism. In thethird chapter, an investigation on the current situation of self-learningability in junior middle school students has been discussed, including theobjects, the subjects, instruments and the data collection and analysis. Thefourth part is about the experiment of implementation of the LCTP. Twosimilar classes were used in Daotian Middle School as the researchobjects. The data were drawn from the pretest and posttest, questionnaireand interviews in relation to the students' autonomous English learning.After that the thesis uses the SPSS 16.0 to analyze the data in order tofind out the changes and efficiency of the experiments after theexperiments.
