The overall research topic area is mainly concerned about preservice teaching training, preparation for teaching in inner-city and urban school, which is an urban and multicultural environment. The research problem here is referred to what drove Julie to make a decision to stop teaching career despite her enthusiasm for helping people and her sympathy for the poor and the sad. Julie’s https://www.51lunwen.org/education/2012/0622/1519212019.html case is quite unusual. So study of Julie’s experience may give an indication to prevent more failure outcome for training teachers in fieldwork. In the literature review the author justified the research that there are studies about preparation of student teachers, however, observation of preservice teachers’ experience in inner-city school is scare. And the reason the author chose Julie as case study is because she quit her career as a teacher after her one year’s practice in the inner-school. The research problem can be illustrated in several specified research questions. Is Julie affected by her previous existed knowledge and religious belief? What caused her conflicts in teaching in inner-city school? Did her supervisor bring her negative feeling? The hypothesis is that all of these questions together may cause Julie’s decision to quit teaching. In my opinion, research problem, justification for the research, research question(s) addressed and any hypotheses are clearly stated.

The literature review is comprehensive and relevant. The literature included both qualitative data and quantitative data. The scope of literature is wide-scale, which are from different sources, including primary sources, secondary sources, peer reviewed articles on journals. But there are limits of the literature, which is that its resources are only from USA and lacking abroad research data.
