I.Introduction
Tess of the d'Urbervilles, written by Thomas Hardy in the late of 19th century, is a famous book in the world. In this novel, Hardy 代写英语论文demonstrates his deep sense of moral sympathy for England's lower classes, particularly for women. In this book, he portrays a young woman victimized by the self-righteous rigidity of English social morality. (Liu bingshan,2004:460) Many people can hardly accept that this woman is pure because on the hand she is chaste but on the other hand she kills somebody. That opinion only exists in Hardy's time, now, more and more people admire that Tess is a pure woman.
Tess’s purity especially expresses in the aristocratic family and her love. This paper will analyze them respectively.

II. Purity in aristocratic family
The plot of aristocratic family background in Tess of the d'Urbervilles typically displays the changes of English society and the aspects of the figures at different levels in the 19th century. (Liu bingshan,2004:461) Different people have different attitude towards the aristocratic family. When someone is pleased with his high social position or even someone tries his best to improve their social position, Tess keeps a simple and pure heart to it.

A. Tess's father, self-satisfied with the noble status
Tess's father is very pleased with his own aristocratic family. Although he has already become a country peddler and the noble surname was inexplicable to become “d'Urbervilles”. ( Zhang Guruo ,1984,translated by the author)
At the beginning of this novel, the poor peddler John d'Urbervilles is stunned to learn that he is the descendent of an ancient noble family, the d'Urbervilles. Meanwhile, Tess, his eldest daughter, joins the other village girls in the May Day dance, where Tess briefly exchanges with a young man. Mr. d'Urbervilles and his wife decide to send Tess to the d’Urbervilles mansion, where they hope Mrs. d’Urbervilles will make Tess's fortune. (LuoJingguo,2007:207) On the day Tess is scheduled to leave for the d'Urbervilles' home, Mrs. d'Urbervilles cajoles her into wearing her best clothes. Mrs. d'Urbervilles dresses Tess up and is pleased by her own efforts, as is Mr. d'Urbervilles, who begins speculating about a price at which he will sell their family title. And they hope that it could change the existing hard living conditions and live a good life in the future.

B. Alec d'Urbervilles seizing a noble fame to improve his reputation
Alec's father who was a newly rising bourgeois parvenu changed his ancestral surname “Stokes” to “d'Urbervilles” and moved from north to the unknown south. It was successful to transform the humble “astute merchant” station into an honorable “squire” of the patriarchal clan system.
