Conclusion


Besides there are still some questions of cooperative learning to be solved. Forexample, what's the effect of cooperative learning on students' listening or writingcompetence? The researcher has proved that cooperative learning has greatly improvedthe students,communicative competence, and then will it help to enlarge students'vocabulary? From the results of the pretest and posttest we can see that cooperativelearning can improve the students' academic achievements, but the improvements of theexcellent students are not so obvious, then can we find out the reason and try to makethe excellent students make greater improvement?In general, cooperative learning approach still needs to be improved in manyaspects so as to maximize its effectiveness.
In conclusion, much work has to be done in order to make cooperative learningbecome a more useful and effective learning approach, especially in the practicalapplication in English teaching and learning. Although it needs improving, thecooperative learning approach is still a very useful instructional strategy when usedeffectively and connected with other teaching methods. So it is obvious that cooperativelearning approach will definitely have a great impact on future learning in the secondlanguage classroom. It is hoped that the thesis can be of some value and help to theteachers who are determined to study cooperative learning in their teachingenvironments.
