This chapter makes some suggestions as to the causes of the problems that discussed in Chapter 4. Then, a possible teaching solution is proposed: mind map, then a teaching demonstration is given.

5.1.1 Emphasis on Reading Materials

This study has discussed in Chapter 4 that there is a lack of reading as the cause of both understanding the thesis and supporting arguments. Many scholars agree that reading is very important in continuation writing. Li Yuying (2010) thinks that in English writing, The Law of Identity should be observed in both understanding the thesis and supporting arguments. A mistake in understanding the thesis can cause the writing to be inconsistent with the requirements. Wang Chuming (2012) suggests that 'in order to complete continuation writing, it is necessary to fully understand the content of the reading materials' and 'in continuation writing, learners need to read back the text in order to keep the written content and language coherent with the text'. Therefore, in continuation writing, reading is an important part of the logical thinking process. If students neglect the reading, they may have problems in thesis and arguments. 

Students need to pay attention to reading. Students should be familiar with the reading material so that they can find the correct thesis and arguments in continuation writing. Then, teachers should also emphasize the importance of reading materials. In addition, teachers should train students' reading skills. Zhang Xiaojun (2005) suggests that teachers should train students to grasp topic sentences, arguments, to cultivate the reading ability. This study believes that by developing good habits in reading materials, students will better follow the thesis and arguments and thus avoid problems in the thesis and arguments in continuation writing activities.
