摘要:The research attempts to find out what is the relation between English reading anxiety,strategies and performance of the Mongolian students, and then analyzes the causes and results.It can give some advice about how to improve English teaching methods and promote Englishstudy for the students in the Mongolian Ethnic Minority.

procedure. Effective reading does not depend on accuratelydistinguishing the compositions of all language. It relies on applying the clues to inputinformation as little as possible for making an accurate judgment. (Goodman, 1971 [i〗])Reading means to obtain the required information from the written text (FrancoiseGrellet,1981^14]). Grellet laid stress on getting information and the significance.Reading is considered as a psycholinguistic course. The readers select some signals thatthe authors express in their essay to stand for their thoughts. When the readers have knownabout the authors' meaning of implicature,the reading procedure is over. (Wedell, M.2003[i5])Although linguists and psychologists hold different views for the understanding of thereading, we can comprehend from their statements that reading is not only a language activity,but a way of thinking. It is a complex process of converting language symbols frompsychological cognitive thinking symbol. Reading is a basic language skill gaining theoutside information.In conclusion, reading comprehension has uncertainty by itself. For materials from thesame text, different readers use disparate methods and techniques to achieve the informationthey need. And then the cognition which they use their own knowledge to treating becomestheir own thinking.

2.2 Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA)
Anxiety named mental abnormality is one of the abnormal emotions. The westernpsychology experts called distress depressing reaction with unhappy feeling as a normaladaptive behavior reaction. Education psychology was considering it as research key. With the development of multimedia instruction, many studies indicated that learners' achievementhad to do with the anxiety. Since the 1980s, many scholars generally believed that languageanxiety was a kind of complex psychological phenomenon, which was the unique speech.Thus anxiety was regarded as one of the most pivotal psychological variables. E. K. Horwitz, M. B. Horwitz. & J. A. Cope (1986) [口] proposed the concept of foreignlanguage anxiety for the first time, “an obvious complex of self-consciousness, convictions,emotions, and conducts in relation to language learning process at class,. In 1991 Horwitz advanced it as “a prominent self-perceptions, faith and feeling referring to classroomlanguage learning that appears in the procedure of the learning”. They deemed FLA as moodproblem comprising cognition,faith and conduct.
