he Industry to the Information age, integration and pooling of resources in a more effective and efficient way

Indeed, the East Asian financial crisis in 1997 was only a portent of economic war in the contested terrain of global constellation. Shortly speaking, such “New Times” came to East Asia with a formidably destructive power that the disaster and pains they should endure were really indescribable. They should be suffered from the collapse of small and middle sized companies, hence the weakening of the middle layers or stratum. They should be forced out from the public labor market and be absorbed into the self-employed spheres. Some of them and the lower stratum of laborers without firm-specific skills should endure the disadvantageous situations which came from the unstable temporary jobs. Even worse than that is the hopeless unemployment.

Considering all these situations, the influence of globalization and computerization of societies on East Asian countries is to some extent negatively evaluated. As in every other region of the world, East Asia has to be prepared so that another financial collapse can be avoided. It will change the society even more and will continue to influence the labor market around the world. Major challenges will continue to occur, but at the same time, it may also give opportunity for improving life on earth.

The world continues to face dramatic changes. Globalization and fast technical progress changes labor markets around the world. Huge challenges come along with it Nevertheless, the East Asian events in 1997 and 1998 showed for the first time, that economic problems didn't spread over to on the whole East Asian, South East Asian or to other world regions to the same extent. That shows that this event didn't lead to a big worldwide crisis as it used to be before. That can be seen as an indication that the regions and the countries around the world are involved with each other more, that however the interdependence to each other is diminishing. That is an outcome of countries and regions having more own economic power instead of only having two-sided relationships among each other. In general, the East Asian countries are well on the way towards a more liberal and outward oriented direction than before.

Taking all causes and effects together, it all regions still have a huge unused labor potential. For instance, women in some countries still don't have equal access to attend the labor market. Or if they have access to it, they have to be satisfied with having relatively low productivity jobs including long working hours, but lacking efficiency due the shortage of adequate education and/or equipment. With other words, there are still many workers that are not having the chance to unfold their full potential. One way into the right direction would surely be to ensuring to everyone having a decent and appropriate job. Increased social protection as well as a better social safety system are increasingly crucial regarding the employment situation and the unemployment challenge the workforce is facing in developing countries.

As we can see from the data provided about agriculture in East Asia, the move out of agriculture is slower than in other regions in Asia.
