A study of the opportunity and development on the Real Estate Industry in Shenzhen
Chatper 1 Introduciton 1.1 preface According to WTO International Trade Statistics (2006) China is the biggest developing country in the world and has 5000 years long history. China’s entry into the WTO will make China’s door even more open; it will stimulate the domestic economy by using foreign competition. Since China entered the WTO in 2001, China economic grew even faster. Statistics shows GDP has grown with 9.5 percent per year on average between 2001 and 2005. China’s GDP in year 2005 achieved US$2.225 trillion ; China has outstripped Japan and ranked the third top in the world.
Real estate industry is a key engine in china’s economy as it generates consumption and investment booms, China real estate maintains a rapid growth in 2006. Real Estate is the backbone industry and the hotspot of consumption in China.
Scheuing (2005) have mentioned Shenzhen economy continues steady growth; Shenzhen’s per capita income is No.1 of large and medium-sized cities in the China. Shenzhen GDP maintained an average annual growth rate of 15.8 in 2005; Shenzhen’s GDP reached RMB 568.439 billion, a 15% growth year on year. This makes the Shenzhen City real estate investment and real estate demand will continue to maintain a "high butt" condition in the past few years.
Author would like to argue the status of real estate industry in Shenzhen is special for its background involved in the effect from WTO and marketing environments and so on. This dissertation will choose real estate industry as the research targets to analyze of the development and opportunity on the real estate industry in Shenzhen.
In this chapter, the reader can gain a clear idea about the central issue of concern in this dissertation research and why this topic was considered as a worth studying one. The research methods will introduce in detail. Most of data which researcher collected were previous data; researcher collected the data from the case study of Shenzhen Real Estate Company.
