摘要:本研究的目的有两个:一个是高中学生理解最常用的词汇学习策略有什么;二是分析了高中学生词汇学习策略的选择的因素,本文主要从学习风格方面阐述了学习风格、词汇学习策略之间的关系。

The main research in China is on the study of learning styles of students  theuniversity. Compared with western studies, they have also made a lot of achievements. The Chineseresearcher Wang Chuming (1992) did a lot in the field of learning style.Great achievements on learning styles have been made by many famous researchers abroad and inChina, but most of the studies are focused on the study of college students. There are few of research on thecorrelation between learning strategies and language learning styles of senior high school studentsd on such a background, attempting to enhance the senior students’ vocabulary learningcompetence, this thesis not only aims at finding out the vocabulary learning strategies employed byChinese common senior students but also the learning styles of the senior high school students.
  


  1.2 Research Significance研究意义
  As we know, vocabulary conveys a lot of information and plays an important role in languagecommunications, and we can list numerous of reasons to show that vocabulary is an important element ofsecond language learning. And it the same as Wilkins says, “While without grammar very little can beconveyed, without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed (Wilkins, 1976: 89). But some people still insistthat vocabulary is not play the same role as listening, speaking, reading or writing, for it seems that there isno direct relationship to communications. Even more, our English examinations are pay more attention towords are hard works, even for the students who employing vocabulary learning strategies, they seldomhave a clear awareness of using the strategies. In this sense, senior high school students are in great need ofthe guidance on how to learn vocabulary efficiently and easily. So it is urgent to investigate what learningstrategies they usually use in their English vocabulary learning process, both teachers and students in seniorhigh schools should endeavor to change this situation.In addition, the previous studies on the relationship between these factors which affect the learners todiscuss the relationship or association between language learning style and their English achievement, orabout the relationship between language learning strategies and English scores. There is little research onthe vocabulary learning strategies and learning styles, especially the relationship between students of seniorhigh schools. Therefore, it is important to do the research.The study on the learning style can help teachers identify those students who have difficulty in theirlanguage learning, and then help these students by changing their vocabulary learning strategies, and maketheir teaching adapt to different types of students. For example, different types of students have differentlearning styles, so the teachers can use different teaching strategies to teach them. According to their ownpersonalities and learning styles, the students can  the suitable learning strategies.Therefore, by analyzing the English vocabulary strategies of students in Xinxiang No.2 senior highschool, this thesis aims to draw overall patterns of English vocabulary learning strategies by senior highschool students.
