Conclusion

Through the investigation and study, we have learned more about the causes ofEnglish low achievers at primary schools. There are mainly four causes: factors fromthe families, factors from the pupils, factors from the teachers and factors from theschools. It need us to explore and analyze constantly, and then transform.
The transformation of poor pupils is not easy, and it requires the joint efforts offamilies, teachers, schools and others. First of all, parents should do the following:attach importance to children's English learning in terms of ideology, use correcteducational methods, develop children’s English learning habits, create a good familylearning atmosphere, and often communicate with the English teachers.
Secondly, English teachers should ponder the problems of primary English teachingat present. As English teachers, it is the responsibility that is unshakable to prevent theEnglish low achievers from appearing or help them to improve actively and patientlyafter the appearance of poor pupils. English teachers should recognize clearly that thefactors of “teachers’ attitudes”, “teaching methods”, “evaluation methods” and so onplay a decisive role in the journey. The teachers should strengthen the attention andunderstanding on the pupils, find the pupils’ problems and difficulties in the learning,encourage patiently and reduce the generation of poor pupils. In teaching, the teachersshould teach students in accordance with their aptitude, design a reasonable andeffective teaching links and activities according to the textbooks, and use the strategy of“the top pupils help the poor ones”. Give praise and encouragement timely to the bits ofprogress of poor pupils, and always insist on tracking and counseling poor pupils.Besides, English teachers should also help poor pupils develop good English learninghabits and teach learning methods to pupils, and do the job of communicating withparents and cooperating with the class teacher well. Schools and teachers must base onthe training of pupils’ quality and their lifelong development, and train and motivate thefun of pupils’ English learning comprehensively.T
