Chapter Five Conclusion
5.1 Major findings of the study
Through experimental research and quantitative and qualitative analyses of thedata collected, the following major findings have been concluded.1. A majority of the students in EC are eager to accept CL. CL applied to BENCteaching in higher vocational technical colleges has an affirmative impact. It isconducive to strengthening students' learning motivations, enhancing learners'self-confidence in English learning. It is also beneficial to create a good emotionalenvironment and increase students' classroom participation, at the same time, it givesan opportunity to exchange and improve effective learning.2. Traditional teaching methods view that it is the teacher that causes learning tooccur. In the CL classroom, the teacher's role changes from giving information tofacilitating students' learning. Every one succeeds when the group succeeds. Incontrast with the traditional teaching methods, CL promptly increases businessnegotiation achievements of the students.3. CL can improve students' negotiation abilities, specifically on the cooperationpractice and communication ability. In the implementation of CL, the studentsunderstand their subject status gradually and clearly. They actively participate in theCL activities and improve their cooperation skills and qualities. Eventually theirbusiness English negotiation abilities are improved inevitably.

This study is designed to prove the feasibilityof CL in a HVTC and to verify its validity by experimental study. It is concluded thatCL theory and teaching methods are consistent on the distinctiveness of oral Englishand it is beneficial to BENC teaching, so this study will enrich CL theory and expandits application.Second, this study reaches a conclusion that CL does good to BENC learning andteaching, therefore, we should try to make full use of CL in class. Learning Englishneeds much practice. It is especially important for ESP, Teachers are suggested tograsp CL theory and strategies better, divide the class into groups and help studentsinvolve in team work. Through communication with each other, students can practicetheir professional skills and leam from each other.Third, BENC is a practical course for Business English majors. Some otherpractical courses like Phonetic and Listening are also opened in higher vocationaltechnical colleges. The goal o
