Summary
   In this report, we analysis some information and provide expert advice on how to provide non-emergency ambulance service for 2010,we find the carstairs index of deprivation is the most important factors affect the demand of the service, and the affect is positive, while the population aged over 65 has negative to the demand of the service. Also the carstairs index of deprivation is the most important factors affect the number of the volunteer drivers, the population and the journey time are also important factors affect the number of the volunteer drivers, then we forecast the demand Corporate Governance留学生论文 of the service in 2010, we find the demand of the service follow the monthly factors, and we forecast the demand of the service in January, February and December have more than 4500 patients per month, while others months have less than 4500 patients per month. When we concern how to run in the January, we find increase the maximum capacity by 500 to 5000 patient journeys per month by leasing vehicles from other divisions .is a better choice.
Introduction
The Central Scottish Ambulance Service (CSAS) faces considerable difficulties providing a good service for non-emergency patient transport in the central region of Scotland. The CSAS base is in Stirling, but the region they have to cover stretches from Tyndrum and Crianlarich in the North West (one hour drive from Stirling) to Falkirk in the south east (on average a twenty five minute drive from Stirling). Fortunately the bulk of the population live in the immediate vicinity of Stirling and Falkirk. The base in Stirling is geographically the most central for the population of the region as a whole.
Now the director of CSAS is interested in planning the non-emergency patient transport service which transports patients to and from hospital. This service is primarily used by old or disabled people who are unable to make their own way to hospital. The service has to meet some tough service targets and demand appears to be increasing over time. So we are assigned to investigate this program, and forecasting the demand for the central Scottish ambulance service. We will collect the data, and investigate what affect the demand, maybe we will face some difficult, but we will try our best to solve they, then we use some methods to analysis such as  regression and so on, at last we will find the demand of the service ,and give some advice to the director of CSAS.
