At the present time, Argos has an edge over two of its main competitors, namely ASDA and Amazon, mostly doe to the reasons that it is the first merchandise retailer in the UK. What’s more, before the foundation of ASDA and Amazon, Argos has already built its sound network. However, its competitors, ASDA and Amazon, are keeping developing at a high speed. Argos should be fully aware of the situations, both threats and opportunities, and managing to find better ways of strengthening its business.

For Argos, its main value lies in that it acts both as a buyer and supplier. On the one hand, Argos should behave itself as a buyer, that is, to keep in a good and healthy relationship with its suppliers, so that to ensure that it can always have access to cheap and good-quality products and services to offer to its customers. On the other hand, being a supplier, Argos should try to improve the quality of its products and services. Besides, Argos should maintain its relationship with its regular customers while in the meantime developing more potential customers. What’s more, Argos should also learn from its competitors and try to expand its business.
