For example, economic analysis oftelemedicine has not yet met accepted standards; there isa relative lack of exploration of the socio-economic impactof telemedicine; evidence on factors promoting uptake oftelemedicine is lacking ; there is relatively undeveloped use,at the time, of qualitative methods ; many studies have notbeen well-designed ; and, considering perceived difficul-ties of building a robust evidence base for recent innovations,researchers have argued that simulation modelling needs fur-ther development.
