6 It is not clear whether the difficulties children experience in the comprehension of passives can also be accounted along the same lines of crossing
dependencies. If so, the argument crossed might be the passive morphology. It is also interesting to explore the possibility that anaphor resolution involving
crossing dependencies may be subject to the same difficulties. If so, this might explain the fact that children have problems interpreting strong pronouns,
which involve a crossing dependency, but show relatively good performance in reflexives, which do not involve crossing.
